This notice explains how we process personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect

When you submit the contact form, we collect the fields you provide: name, email, optional phone, topic selection, and message content. We do not run analytics, advertising pixels, or social trackers on this website.

Purposes and lawful bases

We process inquiry data to respond to your request, prepare proposals, and perform pre-contract steps at your initiative (POPIA section 11(1)(b) — processing necessary to take steps at your request). If you become a client, additional processing may occur under contract and further notices.

Storage and recipients

Form submissions are sent to our same-domain inquiry handler (POST /api/inquiry) operated for nodebeacon.digital. Data is accessed only by authorized staff who need it to respond. We do not sell personal information.

Retention

Inquiry records are kept for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterward for business correspondence, unless a longer period is required by law or you request earlier deletion where POPIA allows.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, and object to processing where POPIA provides (sections 23–25). Contact the Information Officer above. You may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa).

Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of inquiry data. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure.
